Overview
- Hamster announced that Cyber Cycles will launch on Thursday, August 20, with Arcade Archives 2 editions for PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2 and Arcade Archives editions for PS4 and Switch.
- The Arcade Archives 2 build will retail for $16.99 (¥1,800), the Arcade Archives build for $14.99 (¥1,500), and owners can upgrade from the older to the newer version for $2.99 (¥330).
- Arcade Archives 2 adds a new Time Attack mode and variable refresh rate (VRR) support while keeping Original, Hi Score and Caravan modes and standard Arcade Archives convenience features.
- The release reproduces the arcade’s linked-cabinet play with local split-screen for 2–4 players but does not include online multiplayer networking.
- This is the ninth Namco System 22/Super System 22 title Hamster has ported, continuing its effort to preserve early 3D Namco arcade games and make rare cabinet-only titles available to modern audiences.
