Hamilton Police Charge 32-Year-Old in Murder of International Student

Investigators say the arrest marks a major breakthrough in the April 17 case, with police still seeking others involved in the shooting

Harsimrat Randhawa, a 21-year-old international student, was studying at Mohawk College when she was shot in April while waiting at a bus stop. Hamilton police said Thursday they have charged a man they arrested in Niagara Falls, Ont., and he faces first-degree murder and other charges.

The police have also charged the accused with three counts of attempted murder.
