Hamilton Film Sets Cinematic Debut on Sept. 5 With ‘Reuniting the Revolution’ Prologue

Overview

  • Hamilton’s filmed stage production will open in U.S. and Puerto Rico cinemas on September 5, with tickets available from August 6.
  • The theatrical edition includes an exclusive prologue titled “Reuniting the Revolution” featuring new interviews with the original cast and creative team.
  • A special advance screening at the Public Theater’s Delacorte Theater in Central Park on September 3 will offer tickets by donation, a public lottery and standby line, with proceeds benefiting the theater.
  • After its domestic run, the film expands to Canada on September 5 before releasing in the U.K. and Ireland on September 26 and Australia and New Zealand on November 13.
  • On its 10th anniversary, the live capture of Hamilton—filmed in June 2016 with most of the original Broadway cast—returns to theaters following its Disney+ debut in July 2020.
