Hamburg’s Sommerdom 2025 Readies for Opening with Two World-Premiere Rides

Preparations are complete for the Heiligengeistfeld opening ceremony, introducing a month-long program of themed events, exhibitions, fireworks, diversity celebrations, family-friendly attractions.

Overview

  • The Sommerdom opens Friday, July 25 at 15:00 with a ceremonial start at 16:00 in front of the Heiligengeistfeld Ferris wheel and will run through August 24.
  • Two world-premiere attractions, the Nordmann – The Viking Coaster roller coaster and the Halloween ghost train, will debut on a folk festival for the first time.
  • More than 250 exhibitor businesses and around 50 ride attractions are set to offer everything from family-friendly experiences to high-adrenaline thrills.
  • The ninth Regenbogentag on July 31 will celebrate tolerance and diversity in partnership with Hamburg Pride e. V. and AHOI Events.
  • Spectacular fireworks displays will light up the night sky at 22:30 on July 25, August 8 and August 22.
