Replicating its successful March stay on the Balearic island the club aims to hone tactics behind closed doors ahead of hosting fans for the August 9 test match.

Overview

  • HSV’s final summer camp runs from August 6 to 10, with all training sessions closed to the public due to local conditions.
  • On August 9 the newly promoted side will face La Liga club RCD Mallorca in a friendly match open to fans at Son Moix Stadium.
  • The Mallorca stay follows earlier preparation phases in Hamburg beginning July 2 and in Herzogenaurach from July 14 to 19.
  • Sports director Stefan Kuntz said the camp is designed to deliver a final tactical polish ahead of the new Bundesliga season.
  • HSV will then open its DFB-Pokal campaign against FK Pirmasens on August 16 before beginning Bundesliga play on August 22.
