Hamburg ‘White Tiger’ Charged With Murder Over U.S. Teen’s Livestreamed Death

The case will proceed behind closed doors to protect minor victims.

Overview

  • Hamburg prosecutors filed 204 counts against the 21-year-old suspect, including one murder and five attempted murders as an indirect perpetrator.
  • Authorities say he coerced a 13-year-old American to die by suicide in 2022 during a livestream.
  • Investigators allege he groomed minors on chats and gaming platforms to produce sexual material and harm themselves while using the alias “White Tiger” within the online network known as “764.”
  • Police arrested him in June at his parents’ home and seized illegal weapons, computers and hard drives that are still undergoing forensic analysis.
  • Officials identified at least eight victims ages 11 to 15 in Germany, England, Canada and the U.S., and reporting cites a 2021 NCMEC alert to German authorities as the suspect now denies the charges.
