Overview

  • The Towers will hold a week-long preseason camp in Kaariku, Estonia starting Aug. 30 to accelerate team cohesion under coach Benka Barloschky and sport psychologist Renate Eichenberger.
  • Hamburg’s 14-player roster combines seven holdovers with seven new signings, highlighted by guards Leonard Thorpe and Eric Reed after top scorer Brae Ivey’s move to Würzburg.
  • The competitive slate begins with the DBB-Pokal home game against Brose Bamberg on Sept. 24, followed by a BBL opener against Mitteldeutscher BC on Sept. 28 and a EuroCup outing vs. Hapoel Jerusalem on Sept. 30.
  • Two marquee home contests—Alba Berlin on Dec. 14 and FC Bayern München on March 29, 2026—will be staged in the larger Barclays Arena to meet anticipated demand.
  • Barloschky intends to install a defense-first, faster-transition style aimed at converting turnovers into scoring chances and improving on last season’s finish.
