Overview
- Approximately 250,000 participants and onlookers are expected to converge on Hamburg’s city centre for Saturday’s parade under the motto “Wir sind hier, um zu bleiben. Queere Menschen schützen.”
- Hamburg Pride shifted the route away from its traditional heart along Lange Reihe after safety assessments showed the street could not handle the crowd and vehicle sizes
- The redesigned course now runs from Lübecker Straße through Steindamm and Adenauerallee before looping past the Rathaus and Mönckebergstraße to end at Jungfernstieg
- Local police have urged attendees to arrive on foot, by bicycle or via U- and S-Bahn services to reduce traffic disruptions caused by extensive road closures
- CSD-Radio Hamburg will broadcast real-time audio descriptions to ensure blind and visually impaired community members can fully participate in the demonstration
