Hamburg Sees 8% Drop in First-Half Crime as Sexual Violence Rises

  • Total crimes fell by about 8 percent year-on-year to roughly 110,000 reported offenses in the first half of 2025.
  • Investigative success improved with the clearance rate climbing from 46.2 percent to 48.7 percent over the same period.
