Overview

• Responders arrived to heavy smoke billowing from a kitchen window, with the apartment and stairwell severely filled with smoke.
• Firefighters located a 28-year-old man unconscious inside and he was hospitalized with life-threatening smoke inhalation.
• Two other residents sustained injuries and were treated at the scene by emergency medical teams.
