Hamburg Airport Gears Up for Autumn Break Surge as Antalya Leads Destinations

  • The airport expects peak days with more than 55,000 passengers, comparable to the summer period.
  • Scheduled data show Antalya as the top route with over 193 flights in the next two weeks, followed by Palma de Mallorca with 183.
  • Other heavily served holiday spots include the Canary Islands (88 flights), Hurghada (57), Barcelona (56) and Crete (54).
  • Terminals open from 3:15 a.m. and security from 3:30 a.m. through the end of October, complemented by free Slot & Fly reservations for security time slots and widespread self-service kiosks.
  • Airport guidance recommends arriving at least two hours before departure, reducing hand luggage, reserving parking online and using airlines’ evening check-in options from carriers such as Condor, Lufthansa, Eurowings and Swiss.
