Hamas Secretly Using Civilian Locations Including Hospitals, Schools, Amusement Park for Weapons Storage and Operations, Says IDF

IDF reveals evidence of Hamas' use of hospitals, playgrounds, amusement parks, and even a Boy Scouts facility as military strongholds and weapons storage sites amidst ongoing conflict.

  • The Israeli Defense Forces discovered an underground Hamas tunnel network and a weapons cache near an amusement park and university in the northern Gaza Strip. The weapons included chemical materials, clutches, and RPGs.
  • IDF has uncovered evidence of Hamas forces using civilian locations such as hospitals, schools, and play areas for weapons storage and military operations. These include an amusement park, a playground, a swimming pool, and a Boy Scout facility.
  • At least three hospitals in Gaza were identified as being used by Hamas as command centers for their operations. One of these hospitals had a tunnel opening used for terror infrastructures. Hamas militants were also found to be firing at Israeli soldiers from within these hospitals.
  • An IDF video revealed Hamas militants had hidden rocket launchers aimed at Israel in a Boy Scout facility frequently visited by children. These launchers were seemingly directed toward the city of Ashkelon and other areas north of Israel. Similar installations were found in the vicinity of a children's playground and swimming pool.
  • In response to these findings, IDF is continuing to target these Hamas strongholds, leading to a high death toll in Gaza in the ongoing conflict. This includes targeting a Hamas stronghold in the Jabaliya refugee camp resulting in dozens of civilian deaths but also reportedly killing 50 militants.
