Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has warned that the October 7 attack on Israel, which resulted in over 1,200 deaths, was 'just a rehearsal' for future attacks.
Sinwar, who is a top target for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), made the remarks amid a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Sinwar has a history of violence and is known as 'the butcher of Khan Younis', a reference to the southern Gaza city where he grew up.
Sinwar was released from an Israeli prison in 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange, after serving 22 years of multiple life sentences for murder.
Despite a ceasefire, tensions remain high with Sinwar reportedly visiting hostages held in an underground tunnel in the Gaza Strip.
