Halloween Horror Nights 34 Opens With Broadened IP Slate and Bigger Scares

New wristband entry, a covered soundstage hub and refreshed street entertainment reshape how guests move through the event.

Overview

  • Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida have launched the new season, pairing Fallout, Five Nights at Freddy’s and a WWE-themed house with gore-forward Terrifier experiences.
  • At Hollywood, the lineup features houses including Terrifier Funhouse, Fallout, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Jason Universe, Poltergeist, Scarecrow with music by Slash and Monstruos 3, plus a revamped Terror Tram highlighting Blumhouse properties.
  • Art the Clown is a high-visibility presence across the event, with Universal’s John Murdy calling the character the new face of horror.
  • Operations now use free-range Stay & Scream wristbands that allow eligible guests to roam after day closure and enter select houses early, including reported early openings for Fallout and Terrifier.
  • Construction-driven changes in Orlando introduced a covered soundstage house hub, while merchandise and F&B tweaks remove light-up souvenir cups, shift Twisted Taters to a cone and add a paid necklace meant to limit scares outside the houses.
