- The eight-player ballot includes Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy, Gary Sheffield and the late Fernando Valenzuela.
 - The Contemporary Baseball Era Committee of 16 meets Dec. 7 at the MLB Winter Meetings in Orlando, with election requiring 75% (12 votes) and results airing on MLB Network at 7:30 p.m. ET.
 - A Hall policy adopted in March removes any candidate who receives fewer than five votes from the ballot for the next three-year cycle.
 - Bonds and Clemens topped out at 66.0% and 65.2% on the BBWAA ballot in 2022, and Sheffield peaked at 63.9% in 2024.
 - The ballot was assembled by the BBWAA’s 11-member Historical Overview Committee, and any electee would be enshrined in Cooperstown on July 26, 2026.
