Overview
- The National Baseball Hall of Fame inaugurated "Yakyu | Baseball: The Transpacific Exchange of the Game" on July 25 in Cooperstown.
- The exhibit highlights baseball’s introduction to Japan in the 1870s, tours by Japanese and American teams and the careers of players who spanned both leagues.
- On July 27 at 1:30 p.m. ET Cooperstown will enshrine Ichiro Suzuki as the first Japan-born inductee, joined by CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dave Parker and Dick Allen.
- The Clark Sports Center ceremony will feature speeches by Ichiro, Sabathia and Wagner and will be broadcast live on MLB Network and MLB Network Radio.
- The Class of 2025 will raise the Hall’s membership to 351 and underscore baseball’s enduring global legacy.
