Overview
- The finalists are Brian Anderson, Joe Buck, Skip Caray, René Cárdenas, Gary Cohen, Jacques Doucet, Duane Kuiper, John Rooney, Dan Shulman and John Sterling.
- Newcomers to the ballot are Rooney of the Cardinals and Anderson of the Brewers, while Buck returns after falling off last year’s slate.
- The winner will be announced Dec. 10 at MLB’s Winter Meetings in Orlando and honored July 25, 2026 during Hall of Fame Weekend in Cooperstown.
- A subcommittee including past honorees Marty Brennaman, Joe Castiglione and Bob Costas with historians David J. Halberstam and Curt Smith created the ballot, and voting will be by 13 living Frick winners plus three historians/columnists.
- The ballot must include at least one foreign-language broadcaster, represented this year by Spanish-language pioneer René Cárdenas and longtime French-language voice Jacques Doucet, with a pre–Wild Card-era ballot scheduled for fall 2026.
