- On July 24 the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum opened “Yakyu | Baseball: The Transpacific Exchange of the Game” to explore over 150 years of U.S.–Japan baseball relations.
- Ichiro Suzuki secured 393 of 394 BBWAA votes and will become the first Japanese-born and first Asian player enshrined on July 27.
- First-ballot selections CC Sabathia (342 of 394 votes) and Billy Wagner (325 votes in his 10th year on the ballot) join Suzuki in the Class of 2025.
- Posthumous inductees Dick Allen and Dave Parker were elected by the Classic Baseball Era Committee to complete this year’s honorees.
- Sunday’s induction begins at 1:30 p.m. ET at Cooperstown’s Clark Sports Center with more than 50 returning Hall of Famers on hand.
