- In the Halifax region, major grocers including Atlantic Superstore, Sobeys, Walmart and Costco are open Dec. 24 and closed Dec. 25–26, with NSLC outlets closing at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 and staying closed through Boxing Day.
- Halifax buses run on holiday schedules Dec. 25–26, ferries do not operate on Dec. 25, the Alderney ferry resumes on a holiday schedule Dec. 26, and the Woodside ferry remains off that day.
- Halifax notes no curbside collection on Dec. 25 with pickup moved to Saturday, Dec. 27, recreation facilities on irregular hours Dec. 22–Jan. 2, libraries closing at 1 p.m. on Dec. 24 and shut on Dec. 25–26, and malls closing at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 and closed Dec. 25–26.
- Saskatoon confirms City Hall closures Dec. 25–26 and Jan. 1, fixed-route transit on holiday hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1, no OnDemand Transit on those dates, and free Transit and Access Transit service on New Year’s Eve from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Saskatoon will collect garbage, organics and recycling slated for Dec. 25 or Jan. 1 on the following Saturday, close the landfill on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, offer free live tree drop-off Dec. 26–Jan. 31, and waive pay-station parking on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 with payment required on Boxing Day.
