Half Moon Bay Plane Crash Victims Identified, Included Engaged Couple

The couple, Cassidy Rae Petit and Lochie Ferrier, were set to marry in Hawaii on the day that will now host their shared Celebration of Life.

The four victims of the Half Moon Bay plane crash have been identified as Cassidy Rae Petit, Lochie Ferrier, Emma Willmer-Shiles, and Isaac Zimmern.
Pilot Lochie Ferrier and passenger Cassidy Rae Petit were engaged and planned to be married in Hawaii on January 28th, 2024.
The plane, a homebuilt model called the Cozy MK IV, was purchased by Ferrier from retired Florida dentist Thane Ostroth, who defended the safety protocol of these small, homebuilt electric planes.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the crash, and a preliminary report is expected within 30 days.
A shared Celebration of Life for Cassidy and Lochie will be held on their intended wedding day, January 28th, 2024.
