Halep receives 4-year ban for anti-doping violations, vows to appeal

Halep was provisionally suspended in October 2022 after testing positive for roxadustat.
She was also charged with irregularities in her athlete biological passport.
Halep denies intentionally using any prohibited substances.
She plans to appeal the suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
If upheld, the ban would last until October 2026.
