Haleon Recalls Robitussin Cough Syrups Due to Microbial Contamination

Immunocompromised individuals at risk of severe or life-threatening adverse events; no reports of adverse reactions received so far.

Haleon PLC has voluntarily recalled eight lots of its Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult cough syrups due to microbial contamination.
The contamination could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events such as fungemia or disseminated fungal infection, particularly in immunocompromised individuals.
Although life-threatening infections are not likely to occur in non-immunocompromised consumers, the occurrence of an infection that may necessitate medical intervention cannot be completely ruled out.
Haleon has not received any reports of adverse reactions related to the recalled products.
Consumers who have purchased the products are advised to stop consumption immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they experience any problems.
