Overview
- The Central Board of Film Certification granted Haiwaan a U/A 16+ certificate on September 8 and recorded the film length at about 164.07 minutes, or roughly 2 hours 44 minutes.
- The board asked for a small number of dialogue substitutions reported to include replacements such as 'Kamina' and 'Girlfriend' while leaving action and other visuals intact.
- The clearance formally clears the way for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11 and has prompted advance bookings to begin at several major exhibitor chains.
- Lead actor Saif Ali Khan said he performed a physically demanding, minimally enhanced fight sequence without doubles or heavy CGI and required two days' rest after filming, underscoring the production's emphasis on raw stunt work.
- Director Priyadarshan confirmed Mohanlal will make a cameo and said he prevented Saif from watching the original Malayalam film Oppam so the new performance would be independent rather than an imitation.
