Overview

• The swearing-in for the 5th Bodoland Territorial Council executive is scheduled at the BTC Secretariat field, Bodofa Nwgwr, with Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expected to attend.
• Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota will administer the oath to the Chief Executive Member and executive members, while BTC principal secretary Akash Deep will swear in Tridip Daimari as Protem Speaker.
• Ceremonial proceedings include a national flag hoisting by Akash Deep and floral tributes at the tomb of Bodofa U.N. Brahma in Dotma, the Bodoland Martyrs’ Cemetery in Debargaon, and the statue of U.N. Brahma at the BTCLA complex.
• The ceremony will be live-streamed across all BTC districts to enable public viewing throughout the region.
• Mohilary returns to office after the BPF won 28 of 40 seats, with his stated priorities including land pattas for the landless, youth employment support, and targeted welfare for seniors, persons with disabilities, women, and economically weaker sections.
