Haas and Toyota to Stage Fan-Open F1 Test at Fuji Speedway

Overview

  • Haas F1 will run its first Japan-based Testing of Previous Cars programme on August 6–7 at Toyota-owned Fuji Speedway with tickets open to the public
  • Reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa will pilot the VF-23 on day one and reigning Super Formula champion Sho Tsuboi will make his Formula 1 debut on day two
  • Toyota Motor Corporation mechanics and engineers will attend both days to gain direct insight into F1 operations
  • The test expands Haas’s private TPC activities beyond Europe under its technical partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing
  • Fuji Speedway last hosted a Grand Prix in 2008 and was the site of the Haas-Toyota alliance announcement
