H-E-B Rolls Out Tap-to-Pay Options Across Texas Stores

The Texas-based grocery chain introduces Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay to enhance customer convenience.

H-E-B's phased rollout of tap-to-pay services began on October 7, starting with stores in the San Antonio area.
The service will expand to all H-E-B locations, including Mi Tienda stores in Houston, throughout October.
Customers can use digital wallets and physical cards for contactless payments at cash registers, self-checkout lanes, and H-E-B restaurants and pharmacies.
Tap-to-pay is not yet available at H-E-B fuel pumps but can be used at fuel station payment windows.
H-E-B joins other major retailers like Kroger and Target in offering contactless payment options, while Walmart remains a holdout.
