Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who served eight and a half years in prison for conspiring to kill her abusive mother, has been released and is now the subject of a Lifetime docuseries 'The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard'.
Blanchard's mother, Dee Dee, suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a disorder in which a caregiver fabricates illnesses in another person, often their child, for their own personal gain.
Blanchard has also released an e-book, 'Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom', which includes personal essays and transcripts from interviews conducted while she was incarcerated.
Since her release, Blanchard has become a media star, amassing millions of followers on social media platforms and making numerous television appearances.
Blanchard is now married to Ryan Scott Anderson, a teacher she met through a prison correspondence program.
