Gymnastics Federation Lifts Ban on Russian, Belarusian Athletes as Neutrals Starting 2024

The International Gymnastics Federation will allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete as neutral individuals starting in January 2024.
Athletes must apply and be approved as "neutral" and cannot represent their countries or national Olympic committees.
The move aligns with International Olympic Committee guidance on Russian and Belarusian participation.
Participation of Russian and Belarusian gymnasts in the 2024 Paris Olympics will be determined by the IOC.
The FIG previously banned Russian and Belarusian athletes in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
