Guy Savoy and Eight Others Share Top Spot in Global Restaurant Rankings

The 2024 edition of La Liste highlights culinary excellence across seven countries while spotlighting emerging trends and a growing Asian presence.

French chef Guy Savoy has been named the world's best chef for the eighth consecutive year, sharing the top ranking with eight other restaurants from around the globe.
Arnaud Donckele, another French chef, achieved dual honors with his establishments La Vague d’Or in Saint-Tropez and Plénitude in Paris earning first and second place, respectively.
Asian restaurants gained prominence in the rankings, with Hong Kong's Lung King Heen taking the top spot and South Korea's La Yeon and Mingles tied for eighth place.
France secured 11 spots in the top 1,000, including seven in the top 25, and received a lifetime achievement award for chef Georges Blanc, whose restaurant ranked third globally.
La Liste's algorithm evaluates 35,000 restaurants worldwide, incorporating over 1,100 sources to reflect global gastronomic trends, including a focus on fermentation, flame cooking, and plant-based cuisine.
