Overview

  • The construction of 11 five-star hotels in Guwahati has officially begun, following Bhoomi Pujan ceremonies for two Marriott properties near LGBI Airport.
  • Marriott will develop six hotels in the city, including a 76-bigha Marriott Resort & Spa by Jonali Construction, set to create over 500 jobs.
  • Taj Hotels will establish two properties in Guwahati Aerocity, with another replacing the existing Vivanta at Khanapara.
  • Other projects include a Lemon Tree Hotel on the National Highway and a Radisson Blu expansion adding 100 rooms.
