Gustavo Dudamel Announces Final Season with Los Angeles Philharmonic
The celebrated conductor's farewell season will feature world premieres, iconic works, and international collaborations before he departs for the New York Philharmonic.
- Gustavo Dudamel's 17th and final season with the LA Philharmonic, titled 'Gracias Gustavo,' will run from September 2025 to June 2026.
- The season includes 14 programs conducted by Dudamel, featuring world premieres by composers Ellen Reid, Angélica Negrón, and Roberto Sierra, among others.
- Highlights include performances of Beethoven's 'Missa Solemnis' and 'Pastoral Symphony,' Mahler's Second Symphony, and Wagner's 'Die Walküre' in collaboration with Frank Gehry and Alberto Arvelo.
- The LA Phil will also premiere a multimedia work inspired by Judy Baca's 'The Great Wall of Los Angeles,' featuring contributions from director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
- Dudamel's final concert, 'Gracias Gustavo: Celebrating 17 Years,' will honor his Venezuelan and American heritage with works by John Adams and Antonio Estévez.
