Overview
- On September 16, MCG tax teams led by Zonal Taxation Officer Pankaj Kumar with Tax Inspector Pankaj Saluja sealed five properties in Zone-1 after repeated notices.
- The operation targeted four units in Bestech Cyber Park, Narsinghpur, and an industrial or commercial site in Kadipur with combined arrears exceeding ₹6 crore.
- Outstanding amounts included ₹3.34 crore for the Kadipur property and ₹1.49 crore for one Cyber Park unit, alongside dues of ₹78.40 lakh, ₹69.03 lakh, and ₹17.24 lakh.
- MCG Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya stressed that property tax underpins civic amenities and warned of no leniency toward defaulters.
- Officials said similar sealing drives are being prepared for zones 2, 3, and 4, with unpaid taxes accruing 18% annual interest under Haryana’s municipal law.
