Gurugram Man Returns Home a Day After Family Cremates Misidentified Body

Police have preserved DNA from the cremated remains to identify the actual victim in an active Sector 37 murder probe.

  • The next day, a maternal uncle spotted Poojan Prasad alive at Khandsa labour chowk and brought him home, where he told police he had been sleeping at chowks and construction sites due to intoxication.
  • A murder case has been registered against unknown persons at Sector 37 police station, and investigators will use the stored DNA to ascertain who was killed.
