Overview

• Satyavrat alias Satya Pandit allegedly stopped his colleague Laxmi Verma alias Mehak on a bike and fired four to five rounds into the air in Sector 44 late Wednesday night.
• The incident occurred around 10:15 pm as Verma and her friend Anu Rajput were en route to the HUDA Market in Sector 53.
• Verma alerted police after the shooting and the accused fled upon spotting an emergency response vehicle at the scene.
• Officers arrested him Thursday near a CNG pump in Sushant Lok and impounded his motorcycle along with the recovered pistol and two cartridges.
• He was produced in court Friday and remanded to four days of police custody as the investigation continues.
