Overview
- Eight DTCP enforcement teams, which began work Saturday, are carrying out a five‑day operation across 29 licensed colonies to clear obstructions on internal roads and check misuse of stilt parking.
- On day one, officials said teams demolished more than 315 guard rooms and porta cabins, over 250 ramps and staircases, 110 boundary walls, 110 gates, and more than 50 shops and labour quarters.
- Sunday’s sweep focused on areas off Golf Course Road and DLF Phase 1, with officials reporting about 290 park encroachments cleared and more than 150 guard rooms, 150 boundary walls, 125 ramps, 115 sheds, and 100 gates removed.
- Residents in several colonies objected to what they called inadequate notice and the loss of guard posts, while planners said structures on road land block access for fire engines and strain parking.
- The department is surveying stilt floors used as rooms or shops, with notices and possible FIRs, occupation certificate cancellations, and registration bans expected after Action Taken Reports due April 22.
