Gunman Kills Security Officer at New Hampshire Psychiatric Hospital Before Being Shot Dead by Police

The shooter, identified as John Madore, was recently transient and had an AR-style rifle in a U-Haul truck in the hospital's parking lot. The security officer killed, Bradley Haas, was a former police chief and Army veteran.

Madore was recently transient and had stayed at a hotel in the Seacoast region and then in Concord.
An AR-style rifle, a tactical vest, and several rounds of ammunition were found in a U-Haul truck in the hospital's parking lot.
Bradley Haas, the security officer killed, was a former chief of the Franklin Police Department and an Army veteran.
The shooting was contained to the front lobby of the hospital, and no patients were harmed.
