Overview

• A lone gunman opened fire around 7:30 a.m. on July 28 in the valet parking area of the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno, Nevada.
• Two people were killed and at least three others were hospitalized with gunshot wounds in the attack.
• Reno police located the suspect within four minutes and engaged him before he could enter the casino floor.
• The adult male suspect was wounded by officers, remains hospitalized under police guard, and is no longer considered a threat.
