Gulfstream G300 Makes Maiden Flight in Israel, Launching Test Program

Flight testing begins under a cross-border build plan assembling in Israel, then completing in Dallas.

  • The aircraft departed Ben Gurion International Airport at 8:05 a.m. local time and flew for 2 hours and 25 minutes, reaching 30,000 feet and Mach 0.75.
  • Gulfstream reports more than 2,000 hours of ground testing completed, with two additional test aircraft now in production for the flight-test campaign; the program was introduced in September as the G280’s successor.
  • Gulfstream plans final assembly with Israel Aerospace Industries in Israel, followed by interior completion at its Dallas, Texas, facility.
  • Powered by Honeywell HTF7250G engines, the super-midsize jet is designed for up to 10 passengers with a range of 3,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 or 3,000 nm at Mach 0.84.
  • The model debuts the Harmony Flight Deck with six touch screens plus Gulfstream’s Predictive Landing Performance System, offers 10 panoramic oval windows and two living areas, and targets a 4,800‑foot cabin altitude at 41,000 feet with plasma air ionization.
