Gujarat Worker Arrested for Leaking Indian Coast Guard Data to Pakistani Agent

Dipesh Gohil, a contractual worker at Okha port in Gujarat, was arrested by the state's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for espionage activities involving the Indian Coast Guard.
He reportedly communicated with a Pakistani agent, posing as 'Sahima' on Facebook, and later shared sensitive information via WhatsApp.
Gohil provided details about Coast Guard ship movements and port activities, earning ₹200 per day, with a total payment of ₹42,000 sent to his friend's bank accounts.
The ATS stated that Gohil knowingly shared classified information, which could have significant security implications, especially during conflicts.
This arrest follows a similar case last month in Porbandar, highlighting ongoing espionage threats along Gujarat's strategically important coastline.
