Gujarat Woman Assaulted, Stripped, and Paraded by Mob Over Alleged Affair

Police have arrested 12 individuals, including minors, after a viral video showed the brutal attack on a tribal woman in Dahod district.

The incident occurred on January 28 in a village in Sanjeli taluka, Dahod district, Gujarat, where a 35-year-old tribal woman was accused of having an extramarital affair.
A mob of 15 people, led by the victim's in-laws, assaulted her, stripped her, tied her to a motorcycle, and paraded her through the village while beating her with sticks.
The perpetrators filmed the assault and circulated the videos on social media, leading to widespread outrage and swift police action.
Police have arrested 12 individuals, including four men, four women, and four minors, and charged them under various laws, including kidnapping, wrongful confinement, and IT Act violations.
The victim, a daily wage laborer from a denotified tribe, was rescued by authorities and found locked in her in-laws' house after the attack.
