Gujarat Sets First Vibrant Regional Conference in Mehsana on Oct. 9–10 With Japan, South Korea and Vietnam as Partners

The new regional model is designed to channel investment to district strengths by putting MSMEs in front of global buyers through curated meets.

Overview

  • Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the conference, with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in attendance alongside ISRO Chairman V Narayanan and astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla.
  • International pavilions will be supported by participation from the World Bank, JETRO, Russian trade representations, the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber and USISPF, with the Netherlands partnering agriculture seminars.
  • The regional exhibition will run a Vendor Development Programme with Dudhsagar Dairy, ONGC, Western Railway and McCain Foods to connect large firms with local suppliers.
  • A Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet will host 34 international buyers from 17 countries for more than 500 planned meetings with local sellers to promote exports.
  • Mehsana is the first of four VGRCs, with SaurashtraKutch in January 2026, South Gujarat in April 2026 and Central Gujarat in June 2026, while the next global summit is expected in 2027 according to reports.
