Overview
- The first Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference will be held in Mehsana on October 9–10, 2025, followed by Rajkot (January 8–9, 2026), Surat (April 9–10, 2026) and Vadodara (June 10–11, 2026).
- Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel thanked the Centre for recent GST rate cuts, with slabs rationalised to 5% and 18% and a uniform 5% on restaurant meals from September 22.
- Patel said the state is targeting a $3.5 trillion economy by 2047, positioning the VGRCs to channel investment into region-specific opportunities and MSME growth.
- The state’s industrial pipeline highlighted GIFT City, Dholera SIR, Mandal–Becharaji SIR, greenfield ports, LNG terminals and new parks including PM-MITRA, Bulk Drug, Medical Device and Agro Food.
- At outreach events in New Delhi attended by representatives of roughly 45–50 countries, officials cited Gujarat’s 8.5% share of India’s GDP, 18% of industrial output, nearly 27% of exports and about $69 billion in FDI.
