Overview
- The PM-JANMAN mission uses monthly state-wise rankings to monitor essential services delivered to 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups across 18 states and one Union Territory and placed Gujarat first in July 2025.
- In July, Gujarat approved 12,489 rural homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) for its five tribal communities.
- The state achieved 100% piped water supply to 2,803 PVTG households and extended electricity connections to 5,200 homes.
- Gujarat installed 37 mobile towers, deployed 22 mobile medical units, and sanctioned 67 Anganwadi centres alongside 13 hostels to enhance connectivity, healthcare and education.
- Eight Union ministries collaborated with the Gujarat government to integrate housing, water, power, communications, health, education and tribal affairs services under the mission.
