Gujarat Police Officer Killed in Liquor Smuggling Operation

Sub-Inspector Javed Pathan died after a collision while intercepting a suspected illegal liquor vehicle in Surendranagar.

The incident occurred around 2:30 am on the Dasada-Patdi road near Kathada village in Gujarat's Surendranagar district.
Sub-Inspector Javed Pathan was part of the State Monitoring Cell, which is tasked with enforcing the Gujarat Prohibition Act.
Pathan was attempting to stop an SUV suspected of smuggling liquor when he was blinded by its headlights, leading to a crash with a trailer.
Despite being rushed to a health center and then a government hospital, Pathan succumbed to his injuries.
An FIR has been filed, and an investigation is underway as officials and politicians pay tribute to Pathan's bravery.
