Overview
- Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the policy on June 22 to establish Gujarat as a global hub for electronics component production.
- The scheme aims to attract over ₹35,000 crore in new investments and generate significant high-skilled employment across multi-layer PCBs, lithium-ion cells, display modules and other segments.
- Recognized Gujarat institutions are eligible for up to ₹12.5 crore each to set up centres of excellence, finishing schools or applied research laboratories.
- Projects approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will receive 100% central assistance plus state top-ups disbursed within 30 days of central release.
- Applications are being accepted through July 31 under the oversight of the Gujarat State Electronics Mission.
