Gujarat Man Arrested for Allegedly Raping 15 Women Using Matrimonial Site Scam

The suspect posed as a Delhi crime branch officer to deceive victims with false marriage promises and financial extortion.

Himanshu Yogeshbhai Panchal, a 26-year-old from Ahmedabad, was arrested for allegedly raping over 15 women he met on matrimonial websites over two and a half years.
Panchal created a fake profile claiming to be a Delhi crime branch officer and falsely portrayed himself as wealthy to gain victims' trust.
He lured women to hotels in Mumbai, Vasai, and Ahmedabad, promising marriage, gifting fake diamond jewelry, and coercing them into physical relationships.
The accused also extorted money from victims by fabricating emergencies before cutting off all communication.
The investigation began after a 31-year-old woman reported the crimes to Waliv police, leading to his arrest through technical tracing of his digital activity.
