Gujarat Inaugurates 13th Modern Bus Port in Navsari

The GSRTC-led, PPP-driven upgrade advances a push to turn bus stations into airport-style hubs that catalyse local development.

  • Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel opened the Navsari bus port on November 25, making it the 13th such facility in the state.
  • Built for Rs 82 crore over 5,025 square metres, the terminal adds upgraded capacity in a compact footprint.
  • Developed under a PPP model, the site includes deluxe waiting areas, RO drinking water, retail and canteen space, wheelchair access and CCTV coverage.
  • Union minister C.R. Patil and state ministers Kanubhai Desai, Nareshbhai Patel and Pravinbhai Mali attended the ceremony alongside local MPs and MLAs.
  • Local authorities announced projects worth over Rs 475 crore and reported a Rs 284 crore transfer to the Navsari Municipal Corporation, linking the transport upgrade to broader civic works.
