Gujarat Family Holds Unique Burial Ceremony for 'Lucky' Car

A family in Gujarat's Amreli district conducted a grand burial ceremony for their 12-year-old car, which they credit with bringing prosperity.

The ceremony for the 12-year-old Wagon R was attended by approximately 1,500 people, including spiritual leaders and seers.
Owner Sanjay Polara spent ₹4 lakh on the event, which included traditional Hindu rituals and a feast for attendees.
The car, considered a symbol of good fortune for the family, was buried in a 15-foot deep pit on their farmland.
Polara plans to plant a tree at the burial site to serve as a lasting reminder of the vehicle's significance to future generations.
