Overview
- A joint raid on December 28 at APL Pharma in the RIICO industrial area detected an active narcotic drug manufacturing setup.
- Officers seized about 5 kg of Alprazolam and roughly 17 kg of a Prazepam–Temazepam mix, along with precursor and intermediate chemicals.
- Three suspects — Anshul Anilkumar Shastri, Akhilesh Parasnath Maurya and Krishnakumar Shrei Yadav — were arrested at the site, with a case filed under NDPS Act Sections 8 and 22.
- A preliminary probe alleges Shastri’s firm Ansh Trading procured raw materials, production was handled at the Bhiwadi facility, and consignments were sold to a buyer identified as Sunny Yadav.
- The intelligence-led operation was verified through technical and human surveillance and led by DySP Harsh Upadhyay, while a separate ATS action located Vikas alias Golu for interrogation in Ahmedabad.
