Guinness Sets December 11 Opening for Open Gate Brewery London in Covent Garden

Reservations open in November.

Overview

  • The 54,000-square-foot site at Old Brewer’s Yard will operate as a microbrewery for limited-edition releases, with the core stout supplied from St James’s Gate in Dublin.
  • Visitors can expect a 360-degree immersive experience, guided brewery access and a “pour your own pint” masterclass at the 232 Bar.
  • Two restaurants anchor the venue: rooftop Gilroy’s Loft led by chef Pip Lacey and The Porter’s Table, with courtyard pies by chef Calum Franklin.
  • Hollie Stephenson, former head of Guinness’s Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, will oversee beer operations at the London location.
  • Retail, event and private-hire spaces include two shops for exclusive merchandise and the underground Guinness Vaults, with broader community events planned from 2026.
